Areas of actionEnfants du Monde is a swiss nonprofit association which manages projects of sustainable development in favour of disadvantaged children in several countries of the South, in collaboration with local partners. To date the association is active in Switzerland and in 7 other countries.
Enfants du Monde projects focus on three main areas : education and health. In the area of education, the main concern is to contribute to the development of quality processes, allowing a theoretical and practical acquisition of knowledge. Healthwise we focus our action on access to quality health services, whilst giving a predominant place to the community in a health global approach. In addition, since 1998 Enfants du Monde has developed a project which was specifically aimed at swiss children and youngsters in order to raise their awareness about North-South realities and issues. As of 2009, Enfants du Monde will mostly focus on developing an experience of "citizen education" between partners and youngsters in Switzerland, Haiti and Burkina Faso.
