Objectives
Enfants du Monde adheres to the principles of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations on 20th November 1989. According to its status, the role of the association is to help and protect childhood regardless of considerations of sex, nationality, belief and political opinion, by actions of international mutual aid and development co-operation. This mission is made a reality today through 15 projects focused on education and health, in 7 different countries, in favour of more than 47'000 children. Children are the future of the world; let's contribute to make it better!
Enfants du Monde positions itself as an actor in sustainable development, whose main effort is to develop quality processes, viable in the long term and in accordance with the local development policies. The basic idea of development co-operation is to support local populations in improving their living conditions and to attain a greater level of autonomy. This is why Enfants du Monde collaborates with local partners for the implementation of projects, and together, they are in contact with the respective Ministries in each country to inform about the project and obtain support as well as the recognition of the action of the partners. In the long run, the needs in education and health at the national level can only be covered by local actors and in particular by the State. |
