General Assembly and concert

Le chanteur Woody Pèp chantera à la fin de l'Assemblée générale d'Enfants du Monde06.05.2012 - Enfants du Monde’s General Assembly will take place on Wednesday, June 13 in Geneva. After the statuary part, Cecilia Capello, head of the health programmes at Enfants du Monde, who has recently returned from a visit in the field, will present the advances in our program in Bangladesh.

To close this evening in your company, at 7:00 pm, there will be cocktails and a concert given by the Haitian singer “It’S Woody PèP Baby”. Woody Pep has previously sung for the benefit of Enfants du Monde. Following rave reviews, he returns for a benefit concert.

Woodlyn Chery, known under his artist name Woody PèP, was born on June 13, 1987 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Despite his father’s wishes that his son become a painter, Woody’s love for singing began at an early age when he would go to church with his mother.

Arriving in Geneva in 2004, he becomes a member of the band «Crazy Boys Generation», whose album “Illusion” is on sale at all of the Migros. He is currently working on his solo album in French, Creole and English, scheduled to be released this summer.

François Soungrana, father and village head, Burkina Faso:
"All children, regardless of whether they live in a city or a village, whether they are boys or girls – must go to school in order to get ahead in life. I am very grateful that Enfants du Monde schools offer practical lessons. This way, my daughter Aminata learns things that will be important when she’s an adult, for example planting millet, our staple crop."
