Enfants du Monde's 40th anniversary

Enfants du Monde celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2008! From its inception, our association has been committed to giving the best chances of a future to the world's poorest children, Education has, therefore, always been at the forefront of our activities.

A sound education contributes to reducing poverty and improving health – a reality proven by various studies and scientific research. Young people benefiting from quality education also learn to take better care of themselves and the people around them. They are better able to manage their budget, read and understand important documents, and take care of their health and that of their close relatives.

Enfants du Monde used its 40th anniversary to redouble its efforts for quality education for all children.

Many public events took place over the course of 2008, in particular

	•  Dance performances by a company of children from Burkina Faso
	•  Arts and crafts workshops for children linked with our project "Roping Hope for Children"
	•  Exhibition of photos taken by children in Switzerland and countries of the South
	•  A gala evening
