The “72 hour Initiative” is still seeking young people aged 18 to 25 who wish to start a project and see it through with a group of young people of all ages.
From 9 to 12 September 2010, more than 30,000 young people are going to turn Switzerland upside down. In exactly 72 hours, hundreds of groups of young people will conduct social, ecological, intercultural or public service projects, without external funding relying mainly on their ingenuity.
This enormous project has two objectives: first, to enable immediate and useful actions for the society to be implemented, and to bring to light the beneficial commitment of young people and youth associations. It thus promotes the recognition of volunteer youth activities in all of Switzerland. Lastly, thanks to the 72 hour Initiative, young people can show that for them, their commitment towards others rhymes with pleasure.
Enfants du Monde participates in the Geneva organisation committee of the 72 hour Initiative.
Do you wish to take part by starting an action or joining a group ?
Sign up before 30 June 2010 at www.72heures.ch or by writing to ge@72heures.ch.
