The five 3rd grade classes from Dübendorf secondary school (Zurich) got involved in Enfants du Monde’s project in Haiti.
The pupils set up stalls at break to sell pastries, specialties from their countries, crepes, hotdogs, beverages, etc.
They earned CHF 2,400, which will be transferred to the project meant to rebuild a kindergarten and a recreation center for the youth in Port-au-Prince. Those buildings had been destroyed by the earthquake back in January 2010.
In collaboration with the local association SAJ Veye Yo, Enfants du Monde endeavours to improve the situation of young people in the poor Bel Air district. Enfants du Monde is funding a kindergarten as well as an education programme for young people. Approximately 500 children, young people and parents benefit from this project.
