Photo exhibition «Regards d’enfance» presented in Switzerland
"Through the Eyes of Childhood" exhibition consists of 48 photos chosen from more than 300 photos by a panel of child judges from Geneva. Following the initiative of Enfants du Monde, about 100 children from 6 to 14 years old in Switzerland, Bangladesh, India, Guatemala, El Salvador, Burkina Faso and Madagascar have taken and captioned photos which according to them symbolise wealth, poverty and the future.
The exhibition is touring Switzerland and neighbouring France. It was held, amongst others, on the shores of Lake Geneva, at the Industrial Services headquarters in Geneva, at Le Repuis Foundation in Yverdon-les-Bains, at the Karl der Grosse Cultural Centre in Zurich, at Kornhausforum in Bern and the Alte Kaserne Cultural Centre in Winterthur.
The exhibition has always been a great success. Depending on the country, living conditions and personal circumstances, children reveal rather unexpected ways of seeing things, prompting reflection on one's own values. After attending the exhibition, visitors gain another perspective on poverty and wealth and examine their own circumstances.
